I’d say my thoughts around this painting were to do with the contrast and coexistence of humans with all manner of unnatural and man-made things, yet all being constructed of the same basic matter. Part of the appeal for me is aesthetic - the contrast between soft and hard shapes, but also more obviously the graphic black shapes against the colour and texture of the paint.
