The matter that’s being contemplated in this painting is ambiguous and I didn’t have any particular idea in mind when I was creating it. It’s more of a study, if you like, of a moment in time and the interaction between two people. Something new for me in this piece was using image transfers from photographs of vegetation.

Acrylic and image transfer on cradled wooden panel, framed in a bespoke oak tray frame. Painting size is 25cm x 25cm, total size 29cm x 29cm.

Gloss varnished and fitted with hanging hardware.
