There’s a kind of jittery energy in this painting and for me it’s connected to the movements of the tree, the rustling of leaves (although it has none!) - I’m thinking of the noise they make, and of the energy of the earth and of the discord between humans and nature but also the beautiful harmony between the two.

Acrylic, spray paint and crayon on cradled wooden panel, framed in a bespoke oak tray frame. Painting size is 25cm x 25cm, total size 29cm x 29cm.

Gloss varnished and fitted with hanging hardware.
